Navi ?

Here is what happened. I had some new people in my car and I wanted to show them the Navi unit. So I said - "go home". The car somehow errored, i forget the exact message but it was something like it cant plot the destination. I was in a parking lot right off main street in my town. Then I pulled onto the road and did it again and I was able to get a route. Why is it that it didnt work this one time, but when i was in another parking lot it calculated and just said to drive to the route and the guidance will start?

i'll try and return to the spot and re-run the navi system. i'll keep you posted on what happens sometime next week probably. If anyone else thinks there is something more seriously wrong here, please let me know - i'll bring it in if it needs to be looked at.

I don't think this is a glitch. In many cases (not all), parking lots are not close enough to a road for the system to plot a route. Therefore the system can't plot the course until you are actually on the road...

I had this happen many times on the east coast when I lived in NJ and had an MDX. As soon as I pulled onto a road the NAV knew about it would plot the route.

Just my observation, YMMV.
