Since it intrigued me, last night I read a complete thread of a very heated argument about what the TL stands for in the Acura TL name.

I just called Acura Customer Services in Torrance and was told....

"The TL stands for nothing. It means nothing, other than it designates a model."

So that's it. We can still think of our TLs as Touring (or Total) Luxury, since that's what our TLs ARE.
