N E ONE bought a EBAY Trunk Lip Spoiler?
Hey yall. I really want to buy a 07-08 TL-S trunk lip spoiler. They have alot of ebay. The thing is, I don't know which would be the best to fit a COLD ASS winter and warm canadian summer? yes we have those here lol.
Alot are abs plastic, fiberglass etc...what's best?
If they offer to paint them, should it be trusted?
If 3m taped on, can it be removed without harming the paint?
let me know, thanks!

First of all, search
Secondly, yes they can be trusted. "thespoilerstore" is where you want to get it from though as their has been so many happy customers here on AZ. Yes their paint can be trusted, and just SAY it doesn't match they will refund you partial and get it done yourself (not much) or repaint it for you, as paint of your car can change over time.

I got one from, it's great. Cost me $45 shipped on ebay.
The color matched perfect (Abyss Blue Pearl)
I don't know, I haven't removed it. I'm sure it will be fine though.
It is stuck really good but will probably fall off in a few years, lol.

the type S spoiler and the ebay spoiler are deffently diffrent. iv got the ebay one and it looks like the type S one has more of a slope like sporty look. I love my ebay one for around $50 though!!

wow it looks nice perhaps I should get one, but kinda skeptical if it will match my SSM, Does anyone know if the color really does match ? As I read from another member the paint can be trusted but just want to make sure

i heard the darker the color, the easier it is to match. nbp is the easiest color to match and wdp is pretty hard to match since the color can "fade" over time and looks different on plastic/metal

They usually match almost 99.9% of the time. Just say you fall in the .01%, they would either ask you to return for a full refund or re-paint it, or they will refund partial for you to paint it at a local paint shop.
Either way, you almost have nothing to lose.

the oem acura deck lid spoiler is held on by double sided tape and mounting screws where you have to drill through your trunk. totally unnecessary as the 3m mounting tape holds it down very firmly. it's not going anywhere.

I hope you have better luck with the paint than I did.
I purchase a lib spoiler from ebay in 2005 for my Anthracite 04 TL and by 2008 it was really faded. In July of 2009 I took it off and had a local body shop re-paint it for $75. And they re-taped it on for free (I tipped the guy who put it on for me).
The body shop guarantees the paint for the life of the car.

I really want me a lip spoiler! A trunk lid without anything doesn't do it for me.
The only thing I am concerned about is how the double sided tape can hold up in Iowa winter, because I know that the OEM one is held by 2 nuts as well.

Looks good! Any advice regarding the installation process? I'm ready to pull the trigger also. My first instinct is to wipe down the contact spots with alcohol before applying tape.

I didn't even wipe it down with anything. My car was clean, all I did was heat up the 3M backing with a blow dryer so it would adhere better and stuck it on. 5 mins max!

It looks great but i still feel like the OEM Type-S lip spoiler is a little bit bigger then yours. Or is it just me?
