Angry My Worst Nightmare

Early this morning, coming out of a club in midtown, I get in my car and noticed glass all over the front seats and my center console is open. I look in the backseat and found a brick and even more glass.

Some a-hole had broken into my car. It was strictly amateur hour, they only stole two coats that were in the back seat. Nothing of real value was taken, I had my MP3 player in the center console but they must have not seen it, I also had a $2000 laptop in the trunk, and the airbags were left intact.

Now I have a piece of cardboard replacing the window (ughh), it seems almost criminal to deface the car that way but it's really cold outside. I will probably be cleaning glass out of the car for the rest of my life. I guess I'm just happy the a-hole had good enough aim to throw the brick at the window and not any part of the body

maybe they theives were cold and needed the jackets. j/k it really sucks that there are vandals out there who would do this to other people's property. i bet they would be pretty pissed if it happened to them. i dunno why they would even consider doing it to others.

Sorry to read this. It's good they did not take any valuables or spoiled the body. How much is it to replace the window?

sorry to hear that, good thing they didnt take anything too valuable. in response to the alarm question, when i had my "briefing" when i first bought the car, the salesman explained the security system to me. the car has a door alarm only, so if you smash a window and take something the alarm wont go off. however, if you smash the window and open the door from the inside, the alarm will go off. this is probably why he didnt get your mp3 player, he never actually sat inside the car, just reached in. i also think the alarm goes off if the car senses that it is being picked up, like if someone were to put it onto a truck or something.
