My Week Old Wrecked TL

Hey guyz,

Well it's a sad story. I put a down payment on a Black/Black Navi/6Speed A-SPEC, and it finally came in after 4 month's on order. Well picked it up a week ago, and driving to work the other day a drunk spanish guy with a warrant, drinking and driving, drug's in the car and no insurance decided he wanted to watch the wrecked car's to the right of us. He rammed the car in front of him, therefore the lady in front of me hit him because she didn't see any brake light's. So I was doing about 30, 3-4 carlength's back and hit the brakes, swerved to the left and clipped her. I was suprise how good the new TL held up. I thought I would of ripped the whole front end off. But the hood, grill, bumper, dash (where the passenger side airbag ripped through.) :'( And the driver's side seat belt piller tore where I was wearing my seatbelt. So far it's at $4,200. Should have it back next week. But I didn't get ticketed, and everything got blamed on the Spanish guy who got arrested!

My question is, do they make a carbonfiber hood for a car yet, AEM intake perhaps?

Well sorry for your time,

From the recent posts of Boltjames clearly he is 'born again' and therefore he is of all the people.
Spanish included.
Ain't that right Amigo.

Well, I'm one quarter Spanish and I'm one quarter offended. I'm also one quarter a drunk, so altogether, I'm half offended. When I figure out which half, I'll let you know.

Was he Spanish as in from Spain? The reason I ask, DUI uninsured motorists from Spain are actually quite rare in the United States. However, drunk driving, uninsured, illegal aliens from our Third World neighbor to the south, Mexico are very common. I'm guessing, from your description, that your boy fell into this category. If you live along the border between San Diego, CA and Brownsville, TX and happen to be hit by someone with insurance, you are plain freakin' lucky, if not just outright blessed.

If he was Spanish and has proper documents to be in the country, then no, it doesn't matter that he was Spanish. However, if he was an illegal alien, with no insurance and dope in the car then yes, Tibidip, it does, as you put it, F&^%ing matter. In fact, it is entirely relevant.

Sure hope I didn't offend anyone. I'd just feel awful. :'(

I'm not Spanish. I hate the Spanish. Especially Puerto Ricans. Are they Spanish because they're not from Spain, or are they Puerto Rican because they speak Spanish? I took Spanish for two years in high school and all I know is this sentence that I memorized:

La culebra de su papa es muy pequeno.

That said, the TL is a perfect car made by a perfect subsidiary of a perfect Japanese car company. So don't mod the car. It hurts our feelings. Especially we Frenchmen.

Good to hear that everything is ok though. I heard a story about someone getting an accord from a dealer here in Dallas...after getting done with financing and everything, the lady was eager to drive home to show her hubby the new car. Since the dealer is on the service road of a major interstate, the cars coming off the off ramp go pretty fast. Well, the lady judged the distance of this pickup by a good distance and he smacked into her. Poor lady. at least you got to drive it for a week.

Sorry dude. I'm glad you're ok though. I just want to add this disclaimer for all latino/spanish people out there. "We're not all irrational and stupid like the one that hit you." First of all, I'm from the Dominican Republic, not mexican, I can drive perfectly when I'm drunk, my insurance only has a 10 day lapse now so its not that bad, I do commit crimes, but I don't get caught, so no warrants, and drugs in the car, "never." I usually keep my drugs at home, but I do drive on drugs.

There, see not all spanish/latinos are bad.

Man something must be wrong with your brakes if you could not avoid an accident at 30mph and a 3-4 car length cushion. Better have them checked out. You do realize that you are at fault for hitting the car in front of you right, as well as all of your own damage. Sorry to hear you had an accident, glad you we not injured.

I get into accidents when I'm not on drugs or drunk. Don't catch me sober on the road! No but I also crashed my car, last Thursday. I my view off oncoming traffic was blocked by the BAV (Big Ass Van) and I peeked my nose out more to get a better look before fully going and clipped noses with a different BAV. Estimate for mine is around 4K. Front bumper was pretty much hanging on the ground, new hood and quarter panel needed. No aribags went off. I have been driving my Oldsmobile Alero, I swear I will never complain of any rattles or things wrong with the TL again. Just give it back to me! My TL withdrawls are much worse than the drugs!

It is the feminine form becuase the gender form of the verb and noun must agree.

It's the bottom half....

That's close. The gender form of the noun and the adjective must agree. Culebra (snake) is feminine so the adjective pequena (small) must be feminine.

But you have the right idea. Yo creo que el es muy loco, claro.

In common usage, however, people often mix those things up just like we ain't perfek when speakin English.
