My very first car
Hey, guys. New to the Acurazine community. As of a few days ago, I bought my very first car.
2008 Acura TL Type S, 5 speed auto. I’ve wanted the car ever since I was a kid. The car drives, but the transmission needs to be replaced. Rather than just buy another TL transmission, I’m trying to find out what’s the most reliable auto transmission from Acura/Honda transmission that I can fit into the car. I’m looking at a transmission from the TLX, but I’m open to suggestions

You can swap the accord trans over with some minor modifications; your best bet is to get the current one rebuilt and have them use the SONNAX kit to help reduce wear and tear on the problem parts.
