My TL-P vs. Modded Camry SE 3.3L V6

was on my way home after playing pool with my frd, and saw a black Camry coming out from a plaza with 6000K HID and wheels, lowered and a TRD muffler

he saw my car and catch right up with me at the light, rolled down the window and asked if i want to go...

i looked around for cops and i told him let's go up to 60mph

it's a little wet and cold, and i am still on the Toyo T1-R, i knew i am going to spin for sure

when the light turned green we both gunned it, both of us spin like crazy but i had the grip a sec earlier than him somehow then i pulled away up until 90mph then i slow down

we are at the second light and he said he wants a rolling start coz he said he doesn't have enough traction, so i gave him another try

we started at 30mph and he jumped out a little, i didn't panic coz he has more torque and i am about to hit VTEC, then i start to catch up and took over him at 80mph

we slowed down again and he still wants to go one more time, so we are going uphill and we rolling at 40mph, by the time i hit 100mph he's liek 3 cars behind

we stopped at the light again and he asked me what's inside my car, and he said my car just getting crazy once it hits the VTEC

his camry is the new 3.3L SE V6, with a shiny TRD muffer and intake, should give a good 10whp gain on his car. he got better low end torque and had a jump start on me, but once i hit the VTEC and the rest is history

my TL-P owned the Camry

Nice Kill. I miss them days of the run ins with other cars taht for some reason think the TL-p is a slacker and beleive me they change there tune time after time, And I love the look on their face when the v-tec kicks in with the AEM CAI its sounds like a beast!

I figured with his mods and yours you would have killed him even down low. Those camry's don't have that much torque. Stock vs. stock it's very similiar power numbers but v-tec and gearing is what gives the TL the advantage. Good kill though.

everyone in my family has a toyota. My wife 98 corrolla 120HP, not a slug for a compact econo-car, but not quick at all. my sisiter a 03 matrix XRS 130HP, a little quicker than my wifes corrolla, not fast at all. my parents a 03 camry V6 210HP or SAE NET 190HP, good pick up, but not fast at all either and to round it off my father has a 98 4runner SR5, 183HP, not fast at all. I have driven an 05 Camry SE, one of the guys I work with has one. Kinda quick, but my TL is far quicker. I think the camry is an awesome car, just not a sporty sedan.
