depends on the cars temp... engine comp will dial back timing (quite a bit) which in turn makes alot less power

I have the opposite feeling in both my 04 and 02 TL-S. When Im driving aggressive and gunning them a lot, they seem to wake up and want more.

Oh BTW, NEVER drive aggressively with VSA on. It absolutely kills the performance of the TL. Whenever your in a racey mood, VSA MUST BE OFF.

Before you turn VSA off on a regular road I suggest you toy around with it off in a parking lot just to get a feel for the handling dynamics of the car.

Sounds like your TL needs a Red Bull...

Seriously though, computers in cars are designed to think they know human behavior. This would be true if human behavior is consistant 100% of the time. I believe the issue you had was the computer adjusting to your driving habits. just my .02 cents.

My TL gets angry if I have females in the car. I guess my car likes my undivided attention.

The hotter the tires (up to a point) the more traction they have. More traction=less chirp.

When did your TL start to get "tired"? This might be caused by the gasoline you use. I remember somewhere that the new oxygenated fuels don't jive well with colder temps and can reduce performance. Worst possible case, a compression issue or a bad head gasket. I'm leaning toward the gasoline.....

well it's not the chirping im worried about..it feels like what ONAGER said bout the timing goin off..becouse the car has no power at all. n i run the same 93 octane from my gas station so the fuel i know is good and is constant. n i know it''s not the tires heat.

Problem is, the weather isn't constant. Oxygenated fuels work just peachy during the summer months, but do not combust well during the cold winter months. This can reduce the performance of your vehicle. Different gas stations use different combinations of additives to meet emissions standards. Try using a tank or two of Shell or Conoco gasoline. If this doesn't help, have the dealer look into it.
