With an 09 MDX and 12 Accord 4 cyl 5AT, I'm likely not going to return to the track until 2012....which is when I'm hoping to have something like an E46 M3, 330i PP or G35 coupe.

However, I am interested in seeing how well my current Accord does versus my old Accord (07 AV6 5AT sedan) in the 1/4 mile......that 16.3 sec @ 88 mph still leaves a sour taste in my mouth for the AV6.

I'm definitely down for a track date. I'll bring the wine

Lee: Ouch on that run lol. My '00 4cyl Accord 5spd went 15.8 @89.5 with a 2.4 60'

We'll see how the old K24Z3 does this Spring. Unlike with my 07 AV6, if my current Accord can do that then I wouldn't feel too bad. (It's a great motor -- just hampered by a heavy body and an auto tranny)

Omg I hope my Accord isn't that slow now I really want to test it on the track. It sure feels slow compared to the TL though haha

Anyone want to guess the time for a 5mt 2012 Accord sedan? 4cyl of course

After a few times I say 15.5-6 @91-92. Honestly with bolt ons/Kpro you would probably have a mid 14 @97 or so MPH car. You can mod them just like the RSX (RBC/RRC manifold, SK2 throttle body, etc).

Did you get my response to your message? I posted it on my page although I probably should've put it on yours!

Unfortunately, Hondata doesn't offer anything for the K24Z3. (At least that's what Matt @ Hondata tells me.)

Yea you're right, I got excited. The Z3 is the new K series if i'm not mistaken, with the integrated exhaust manifold (Alex I said intake manifold lol sorry). Bisimoto makes downpipes for them and although they're prototypes, I think they made something like 12whp on a bone stock car. That's pretty damn good. I'm sure FlashPro will be offered at some point. Despite the K24 revving to only 7K, taking some of the fun out of the K series, it's still an SI and should therefore, be mod friendly (just give it some time).

They're pretty much running out of time. It sounds like Honda is migrating away from the K-series and the Z3 has been on the market since late 2007 (at least in Accord 4 cyl guise). Honestly, unless Hondata adapts their business to new applications, they'll go the way of the dinosaurs before long.
