I was looking on the photo gallery and noticed an 04 tl with the mpg listed where it displays the millage, I drive an 05 tl and didnt know it would show that? How do I get it to?

 

To the right of the instrument panel, you'll see a "info" rocker switch. which goes left or right..

Keep clicking right until you see "Trip Computer".

Then click the button above it that says "Select".

just to add to that when you see the mpg screen if you press the right side of the info rocker it will show you the range left in the tank.

yup all 3g's have it. but i dont understand why i have to hit select every time i turn on my car. i feel like it should pop up from the last time it was turned off.

 

Does anyone know if you can switch the canadian models from L/100km to mpg? I mean really... who knows that crap. I know Mpg

 

If there is, I haven't found it. You can set the nav display to use miles and such so instead of 200m it shows 1/8 mile or something at a normal zoom level, and all the nav voice commands are in miles, but the MID doesn't use that setting. I've tried turning the car off while in miles mode on the nav system and the MID was still showing Canadian units afterwards.

I'm assuming its something built in hard coded and not editable.

 

That SUCKS. Damn. Have you tried messing around in the hidden options menus? (holding map, menu, and cancel?) I might try that today

 

Yeah it does suck we can't convert it.

I usually use an online converter lol
