MPG/ computer
MPG/ computer
I very seldon bother with the computer screen which lets you know the MPG - miles driven etc...simply because I know exactly the MPG when I gas up and do the miles driven divided by the gallons it took to fill up and then I know how many MPG I averaged ..do you believe in the comp or the printed receipt you get when you pump up....it's so off it's crazy to even bother to have it...
Well, by the "computer screen" I assume you mean the MID ... the little display in the gauge set.
It's obviously not very accurate because it doesn't include "tenths" of miles per gallon. As a result, when you see "20" you don't know if it's 20.1 or 20.0 mpg, and there's a LOT of diference. That's my main beef with the TL's system ... I've never seen one that didn't display tenths.
Having said that, all the other trip computers I've had - in a variety of car brands from BMW to Nissan to Infiniti to Lexus to Cadillac - have been surprisingly accurate when I checked them against the math method.
