More dings from rocks on the side than on hood.

I've just noticed a ding on the driver side rear of the car. Its right about the rear wheel. I'm pretty sure that this is from a rock because it kind of left a mark that stretches from left to right.

I'll probably take it in to the dealer for the paintless dent removal since they game me a free coupon for one dent when I bought the car.

Do you guys notice that the 3rd Gen TL gets more rock chips and dents on the side of the car rather than the hood of the car?

I think your dings are coming from the salt spreader trucks. Those are the main cause of side dings in the city.

I got this ding last night. There were no salt spreaders on the road. Also I have chips on my doors and those happened last summer. Strange.

You should try living in Florida!
Lets say your drivng down the highway and u come upon a semi with sand as its load....the only thing is half his load is blowing out the top of the F*CKING truck onto your car.

True that. Nothing new for us.

I drive up and down the I-95 every day. I commute to CT from NY.

I stay away from semis as best I can. My windshield is already looking like crap.

I try to stay away from the semis the best I can also. But sometimes you have these semis that drives really fast. Other times you have these ignorant drivers that drive right next to the semis or in back of them but in a different lane driving really slow and you're trying to pass the semis but you can't.

Yeah that's exactly what happens to me. I get caught behind those *ussy CT drivers that for some reason like to ride along side the semis.

I'm sorry to the CT TL owners here but your fellow statesman need to freakin learn how to drive. I get cut off by woman in their giant SUV's all the time here. I'm cruising along nicely and then a CT driver always seems to cut me off dangerously. As if i wasn't there or something.

And how about this: you stay away from trucks, try to drive always on clear roads... car is almost chirp free. Then you drive in a bad neighborhood and 4 kids throw stones at your car... dings/dents/chirps at windshield, front hood and trunk lid. Could have the police arresting one. Under age, nothing to do about it.
