Moonroof problem

When I have my moonroof fully open I get a really bad buzz from the roof. I am not sure, but it sounds like a piece of paper stuck in the moonroof cavity. Could be foreign debris that was swept in there, or a tag on the headliner.

Anyone else experience this annoying problem?

I think what you're hearing is the rubber doohicky that reduces wind resistance. In the process of reducing resistance it makes a lot of noise. I don't like it either. There were some older threads about this, but I'm not sure if the search function will find them for you or not.

...or perhaps the air is rushing to the opening where the roof slides into. I haven't noticed it on mine.

Definitely not the wind guard. It is behind the windguard. It is inside the window cavity itself. I fooled around with the wind guard for a bit with no luck. The noise is really bad today. Hopefully I can find time to take it into the dealer in the near future.

Does yours have a moonroof visor? I had one put on and after that i've been experiencing a high pitched hum. Its quite loud and occurs when i got above 80 with the moonroof closed. Sound familiar to anybody? Any ideas? Im afraid if i take it to the dealer they'll just be like "dont go over 80... its illegal anyway".

I have the moonroof visor and do not have the hum issue. However, i do hear a rattle on occasion. I have isolated it to the pivot points of the rubbery wind deflector thing that pops up. Sadly, I don't think this one is fixable. Fortunetly, it doesn't bother me too much and is easily overcome with even the slightest volume of music being played in the car.

It's like someone is holding a sheet of paper out of the moonroof, that is how loud and annoying it is. Can't enjoy driving the car with it open.

I wouldn't recommend the visor, I had one on my RSX and it left deep scratches all around the moonroof when I took it off. The dirt gets stuck underneat and grinds away at the paint. BAD idea.
