Moister problem on inside window.

well when I first got my car I looked for a tinted shop that knows how to install mole skin. after that was done I wash my car and there was moister on the inside of the window even after I let it dry for a couple of hours. After reading information on how to do it the right way I ordered some mole skin and followed the instructions. well after putting the new mole skin in I wash my car and got the same oh results, wetness on the inside window after I rolled them all the way down. I don't know what causing the moister but it really bugging the hell out of me. maybe I should just take out the mole skin. what do you guys think I should do?

any info is greatly appreciated

Moleskin is a type of felt that is applied to the plastic wipers inside the door panel. It is used to prevent scratching the tint when raising and lowering the windows.

Here's some info from the 3G Garage.

After looking at the pic of the wheather strips I realize that maybe i put in the weather strips wrong, the way i have it is the bottom on wipe install on the top. Well it not really my fault cuz when i took off the door panel it was already like that, i think those idiots at the tint shop put it in wrong. what i am trying to get at is can any one post pics of how the weather strips should be install. That must explain why i am unable to get the door panel line up right along the window. Maybe that what causeing the moister inside.

thanks

Click here for the installation instructions.

The link was given in post #3 above, K-014: DIY: Moleskin installation, but the link was wrong so I fixed it.

thanks ron,

after looking at the pic, those freaky idiots install my wheather strips wrong. They put it in backwards. What a waste of money and time.

I also just worked with my supplier to produce a finer more absorbing felt/mole skin made specifically to keep window tint from scratching.

I also paid for an extra strong adhesive backing as well!

You can do the install in less than an hour.
