Performance or appearance?

Not too much in the realm of performance yet.

I modded the optional Acura TL ashtray into an optional Acura TL coin holder.

Yeah, it's the forward cup holder. For me, I need the damn tokens more than I need the occassional Dunkin' Great One, so that's that.

I will give Acura credit though; that ashtray (coin holder) is very very sturdy and very very heavy with a snappy snappy tight lid. So if you are one of those unfortunate folks who live in a non EZPass area and need a place for coins that wasn't designed for 4'5" asian men with 12" fingers, check out the under-rated and easy-to-mod ashtray:

Best $20 a commuter can spend IMHO. Need the second cup holder back? Just remove it and place it in the glove compartment...

caball88- The box will say "Honda Insight" on it when you get it from your Acura parts dealer, but it's what you want.

You know, I'm finding that anything taller than a soda-can tends to get in the way of my arm during casual shift driving.

As far as mods... I'm not going to bother with an intake or much of anything else until someone comes out with something.

I call Vortech and Comptech once a week to follow-up on their supercharger progress. Well, for Vortech, I just bother them with calls to get them to get on the ball with one.

I really wish Mugen would come out with at least an exhaust system. Having heard their exhaust systems on S2000's and others, I think it would be a perfect match. Not fart can sounding, silent at first, then deep rumble into a Forumula 1 racing flow sound.

But someone better come out with something soon. My competition itch is getting worse. I wanna run some something with cajones. The TL is a great car, but it just screams the potential of "street king". Luxury and power.

Oooo! So exotic! That's the first customized TL I've seen. And you even have the C-note wood shifter! Que Rico! Que Lindo! Que Guapo!

And the lighter, too. I'm very impressed. You must be rich.

xpditor- LOL. Stock photo.....all I have is my modded ashtray cum coin holder. Last night, these rice kids were hangin' by the mall in their lowered Cord's, Vic's, and Cura's and I cruised up oh so sweeeeeeeeeetly next to them. Not only did they think that the blue LED's were my idea, they drooled buckets into my coin holder. Then they said "have a good evening, sir" and I was on my way home. I had a choice to masturbate to the 19 year old rice girl with the braided hair that I'd been talking to -or- to sit in my TL and fondle my coin holder. I chose the latter as it is far more satisfying to play with an ex-ashtray than oneself. Food for thought.
