Modifiers under warranty

Before this morning I was under the impression that after market modifications to the car would only void the warranty (acura care) of that system (ie exhaust system if you have a Jpipe). However after leaving acura this morning they called me back to inform me that do to the increased performance of the car any part that might have more stress bc of the modification would no longer be covered (engine, transmission, suspension). This is just an FYI to all of you guys, so you can be aware.

Have any of you heard anything differently?

Yeah only if the mod was the cause of your problem they can only void that specific are of your warranty. Say if you have your car on a slammed suspension and something suspension related get fugged up they can only void the suspension area of your warranty given the fact of being slammed is the cause of your problem. They cant void the motor or electrical if that were to happen.
