modded TL base 6MT vs G35 coupe 6MT

which one do u guys think it faster on drag race?

1. 3G TL 6MT with catback+CAI vs G35 coupe 6MT stock?

and

2. 3G TL 6MT with catback+CAI+J-pipe+race pipe vs G35 Coupe 6MT stock?

as u kno g35 coupe 6MT stock has 293bhp and around 247 whp, 3G TL 6MT has 258bhp with around 227~230whp for stock)

but with mods on TL like on number 1 and 2, can TL 6MT beat G35 coupe 6MT?

*both cars has similar curb weight...TL base 6MT has around 3482 lbs, G35 coupe has 3512 lbs

excuse my ignorance, but what is BHP? I would just go by WHP becuase that is the only power you will be using in reality.

1. I think G35 wins in this situation due to lower weight (2 less doors) and more power to the ground

2. I would call it a drivers race since the WHP and weight ratios would be very close.

this is my unprofessional opinion.

BHP=Brake horsepower (bhp) is the measure of an engine's horsepower without the loss in power caused by the gearbox, generator, differential, water pump, and other auxiliary components such as alternator, power steering, and AC compressor. Thus the prefix "brake" refers to where the power is measured: at the engine's output shaft, as on an engine dynamometer. The actual horsepower delivered to the driving wheels is less. An engine would have to be retested to obtain a rating in another system. The term "brake" refers to the original use of a band brake to measure torque during the test (which is multiplied by the engine RPM and a scaling constant to give horsepower).

Note: The acronym BHP may also stand for British horsepower, and it is commonly equivalent to 1 HP (= 746 W).

hmm I thought 6MT TL is lighter than 6MT old G35 Coupe...but I agree with u...
I think the g35 coupe in that video I posted wasn't really racing...so I found another video by same ppl

it's G35 coupe 6speed manual (stock) vs TL with exhaust and intake...TL walks away....(perhaps the driver in g35 wasn't good as driver in TL)

TL with all those mods should win if the g35 is stock. G's are heavy cars too.

i've seen those videos before; actually probably on AZ. last time i really looked it seemed the driver in the G isn't too good;

tbh, i'm pretty sure an 04 g35c will still kick the TL's butt from a standstill. rolling, i'd say the TL will smoke the G35

It will be a driver's race. The 1st gen G35 coupe weigh in around 3,450-3,500lbs. As for that video, the G driver sucked. You can hear him spinning and fighting for traction (listen to his engine). The TL driver was far better. Technically the G should probably out launch the TL pretty easily. Getting low to mid 2.1 60 foots are pretty easy in these cars assuming you know what you're doing. To get 2.1 60 foots with FWD on radials takes a lot more talent and luck.

I did post a 2.169 in my 02 Maxima 4AT but as much as I would love to take the talent credit it was more luck.
