modded 04 TL vs new TL-S

going home about 2am today on the freeway saw a 07TL-S Blk no license plate with rims(18-19") not sure is MT or AT and we only did one run.

80roll to 120ish

I was using 3gear and we're off I pulled him(slowly) about 1 car after we shut down @ 120ish.

I start pull him around 4gear vtec kick in point but before that we are neck to neck.

Nice run! I ran into a type-s on the highway the other day, but he wouldn't bit. I think he was still breaking it in.

I guess his car was still breaking in because he should be able to pull on you easily.

i thought u said you werent sure if it was AT or MT? anyways it is believable but at the same time if he didnt have a license plate im sure he was still breaking it in cause u cant break it in till 3-4months( or atleast the way i drive my cars.)
but yea also u pulled on him in 4th but u do have mods.

good run !

Aside from how well broken in that TL-S was, it is just a question of whether his mods > 28hp/23 lb-ft advantage of the TL-S.

*RACING ON PUBLIC STREETS IS WRONG IN SO MANY WAYS BUT I HAD TO SEE WHO WAS FASTER*

i beat my buddies 07 TL-S 5AT who has close to 2k on the odometer with my 6 MT TL from 30 all the way to 130. I was in 2nd. This was on highway at 2am with no one around. Wanted to see if the auto has bite and he thought he could beat me. I was hoping to hang with him. I had one person and he did as well. He jumped first, but he didn't even pull. I reeled him in as soon as I laid into it. He is stock and I have aem cold air, outlaw spacers, UR crank pulley, comptech exhaust, e-shift procats, tein ss w/ EDFC and drop the dampening down to 2 to stiffen it (not that it does anything). He's a mechanic over here at Superior Acura in Kansas City and was shocked by how the 6 MT took the new TL-S. He's now considering going to a 6 MT TL-S.

i made the TL-S look like a base. Not to bash on them, but the race outcome was not what I expected against a TL-S

not much, maybe 2-3. my cousin has an 05 Accord V6 6MT with fujita intake and a cat deletion and i ran him and pulled around the same on him. however, when he drove mine and i drove his, he maybe had 1 car, if even that on me. In this case, it was the driver

man i have a TL-P year 2000. I raced my cousin 07 TYPE S and boi o boi did he beat me pretty bad.. LETS NOT FORGET i have 20's 3 twelves amp and blah blah. So i did what loser would do... I turn on my nitrous bottle and ran and i beat him by like a car or a car in a half.. I can vouch for the new TYPE S.. They're pretty quick.

I vouch for the new type s because i have one.The only cars that have kept up with me are fully modded integras and swapped cars.I ran a 14.26@ 92.59 off the gas in third gear on a quarter.I just ran it at the race track yesterday.I was in the elimation round. My old 6 spd 04 ran 14.5 full on.If i got another run i was thinking that it wouldve ran a 14.0.

Thanks a lot.Was that type s an auto? The mph seems a little slower den usual? I hope to run it one more time at the track the car was really hard to learn on launch. My car has a short ram on it and no resonator too though.

yea 88mph for a 14.38 is kinda too low. trap speed for that time should be around 95ish?

Werent you the one that pulled of a 14.26 at 98mph in your 07 TL-S? Are you MT or AT?
14.38 at 88mph doesnt add up...

Actually i was the one who ran 14.26 @ 92.59 but some other guy ran 14.3 @88mph and i was wondering why the mph was slow.I let off at the beginning of 3rd and slammed on the breaks at the end because i ran a slower car in a bracket race and i caught the car in 2nd gear.My other runs ran about 98 mph but i only got three runs and the last run i bogged off the line and still ran 14.5 @ 07.59 mph.I didnt get enough runs to get a good run since it was my first time out there.and yea im a 6spd

Where you awake when this happened? :P
I owned a CL-S (i/H/E/Tein Basics) and the 07 TL-S feels much faster, especially from a dig. At freeway speeds i dont think theres that big a difference but 1st and 2nd gear feel really torquey on the 07 TL-S.
