The more I read he more confused I get. I was going to start using Mobil 1 5/20 oil in my new TL at my first service. After doing some research (Bob is the oil guy web site) I read that Pennzoil Platinum may be better. I hear that the engine runs quieter and tends to use less oil (?) with Platinum versus Mobil 1. I've always heard good things about Mobil 1 but has it been displaced by Pennzoil Platinum? All I want to do is take good care of my car. Putting in an oil that makes the engine noisy is not where I want to go. Thanks for any comments. Steve

I have been using Mobil1 since my 2nd oil change. First oil change a 6,829Km (4,268 miles), Second @ 19,540Km (12,200miles), had my 3rd oil change done at 29,538Km (18,461Km).

No noise, no oil consumption. I use 5W30 Mobil1 since 5W20 Mobil1 is very hard to get in this area.

I have used the same Mobil1 5W30 in my other 2 Honda Odyssey's (2000 & 2003) without problems.
