Mirror tilt in reverse

Trying to figure out if there is a way to have both the driver side and passenger side mirrors tilt down while in reverse. I have only been able to get one or the other based on where the adjust switch is positioned.

Thanks
Justin

No, you can't make both tilt down automatically. No idea why, but I think the feature is more for people like me who can't park against a curb to save their life. So I guess they assumed you only need one to tilt down at a time.

That's precisely what it's for, although I also find the passenger-side tilt-down useful for backing out of my garage because it lets me see the stuff on the side of the garage and the bushes along that side of the driveway. You'd never be parallel-parking with curbs on both side of the car (that's pretty much an impossibility), so the idea is there's no need to have both mirrors tilt.

I suppose, though, that it might be a useful feature for the back-in-parking crowd when a space has curbs or pillars on either side. I never park backwards unless I'm required to do so by a sign (pulling through the space doesn't count), so I can't relate to this idea.

I actually really like how only one mirror tilts down. I remember when I was a valet parking BMW's and both of their mirrors tilted down so far it was practically pointing straight down. You couldn't even see the curb you were backing up to.

You can install KP Technologies' Mirror Tilt Module.

I'm feeling both tilting, not sure why it's not an option. Afterall, the TL body line itself tilts up and hard to see out of the back window if you aren't used to it.

I wish they made them tilt both, my friend's Lexus RX350 does that.

Not certain why you want this, but one possiblity is that on my RDX, I have placed one of those rectangular/ rounded on one side 'blind-spot' mirrors on the inside lower left of the passenger main mirror, backwards. It shows perfectly from the door and back, down to the curb, without tilting the main mirror. And because its on the passenger side, I don't need it for actual 'blind' looking, because the main mirror is curved.

And then you could have the driver side mirror tilt down.

Interesting - only the passenger side mirror will tilt down on the RDX, and only when the switch is to the right. There is no way to tilt the driver side RDX mirror.

I didn't even know my car did this, so this is another bonus to make me like my TL even more.
