Midwest point of view
Guys, with Spring approaching I am compiling what I want to do to the car. It is not a daily driver but is used year round here in Indiana. I plan to use my 17" factory set as a winter set and upgrade for a nice summer set. I would also be very interested in a minor drop and an A-spec lip kit. I do not like the cambered out wheels or rolling the fenders. Anyone local with some ideas to get me down the right road? I thought an A-Spec suspension might get me there but now here it may not even drop me at all. Will adjustables give me the flexibility I'm looking for plus a little better performance?
Someone with snow experience is a plus please!!!! Sorry to you SoCal guys.

It sounds like you're looking for a performance oriented wheel/tire/suspension setup. I believe member "I Hate Cars" has a pretty good suspension setup geared towards what you want; maybe he will chime in and offer some advice.
To compliment the suspension, you may want to look into a new set of tires. They are the ONLY thing between you and the road. Even with wider tires, you won't have to worry about rolling fenders or any of that if you keep your stock tires.
The A-Spec lip kit can be purchased from one of our vendors. PM them for pricing and such.

I ran hr sports + konis in Chicago with a aspec lip this winter with no issues. The main thing I'd be concerned with if you drive on snow a lot is getting the wheel wells packed. However that happened with the stock suspension too. Roads are rough around here. I'd be concerned with lower aspect tires, particularly once you lower the car. You're going to use some suspension travel and once you hit the stops on a bad bump lower aspect ratio cars are more likely to bend a rim or snakebite the tire.
I have done years of research on a lowering spring setup for the TL, and even though I have not personally done it yet, if I were I would go with the H&R Sport springs for my 08 Type S. Its not a ridiculous drop, but just perfect ride height, and keeps stock or even softer ride firmness. Im not into sideways rims, or rolling fenders, or whatever that "VIP" crap is either lol, just a nice all around subtle drop that makes a difference visually, but keeps everything else stock. Not sure what living in Indiana or the midwest has to do with anything, but a nice drop, window tint, aspec wheels/kit (if you can find one) would be a great start.

^^^ I have H&R Sports Springs on my '07 Type S. Everything said above is spot-on.
You can see the H&R Sports drop in My Garage-click on the name of my car at the top of my signature.

Mines in NBP and I was debating the XXR 530's myself. Its going to get the factory set refinished in dark graphite next week due to a locked up caliper from the fall.
