Installed HID Fog Lights

Just installed my HIDs on the fog lights today. It went pretty easy. I have done many HIDs in the past, so I knew kinda what to expect. Here's a couple shots:

Here's where I installed the ballasts. I double-side taped them and then put a zip tie

Here's the wiring. You can see the bolt that you can use to adjust the fog lights. It takes a 10mm, or if the bumper is on then a Philips screw driver from under. To me it would be easier to take the two clips off the fender well and adjust it with the 10mm (Sorry for the blurriness)

And here's the final result. I have 8k Max Lux on the headlights and 6k DDMTunning on the fogs.Of course, they look brighter on the picture because of the angle, but if you look at the floor they light it up very well.

The hardest part was putting the damn ballast. I know where I wanted to put it, but the double sided tape wasn't cooperating with me. Oh, and when I tried them before putting the bumper on neither turned on. I was mad, and was about to start ripping everything off when I decided for sh!ts and giggles to turn the car on. Sure enough, once I turned the car on the fogs turned on. Never had this happen with my other cars.

This is because of the ballasts only working correctly with the alternating current when the engine is turned on.

It was weird that I had to turn on the car in order to get them to work. It had never happened on my other cars

you must have tapped a wire that is only hot when the ignition is in the ON position.
