MID: What do you display?
On my MID, I usually display the Trip Computer to watch my MPG. Occasionally, I display the outside temp, but I'm generally depressed to see how many miles I've already got on my TL. On short drives, though, it usually just shows the words "TRIP COMPUTER" as I don't bother pressing the button. On longer drives, though, pressing that button is as much a reflex as pressing "OK" on the stupid nav disclaimer.
During phone calls, the MID is showing the HFL, but it reverts back after the call.
What do you usually show in the MID?

I also usually show the outside temp and the trip miles... I haven't fiddled much with the trip computer. Anything that reminds me how much gas it is costing me to get from point A to point B... even though I immensely enjoy it in a TL... is depressing.

Sometimes I wonder if I should keep a record high.

Temperature for the most part.
I picked up two nails in two different tires in only 3000 miles so I have also used the TPMS display a lot. That is one feature that I originally thought was no big deal but now I think it is great. I was able to drive for weeks with a slow week and with the TPMS and adding more air I was always within about 3 psi of normal. Awesome.
The trip computer to me is really useless. Average speed is 20mph, average fuel is 23mpg. Hasn't changed in months. Unless there is a drastic drop in MPG due to a problem this info is basically useless. Instantaneous MPG would be great.

I will reset it this weekend when I go on a long trip to see what I am getting on the highway. That should be an intersting comparison.
If I were the designer I would have put both average and instantaneous readouts. I think that would be the most useful. But I wasn't, so it's not there.
Also, since we are on the MID subject, why why why do I have to push the info button again when I get to the Trip Computer. Why didn't they make the info display automatically when scrolling through the screens? Same issue with the TPMS. You need to keep your eyes on the road as much as possible. Scrolling and then hitting another button is time that you could be using to avoid accidents.

Usually display the temp. From time to time I move over to the trip computer to check the MPG. I always reset the trip odo and miles on the trip computer after a fill up.

Temp...
I usuallly have the OAT showing, but I wish there was a display of instantanious MPG. That's annoying because the functionality is there - Accords have it on their trip computer - but just not accessible on TL.

To get your gas mileage, when the trip computer screen is displayed, press select once, and your average mpg and other information will be displayed.
I don't watch anything and keep my display set at trip computer. I really like this because I like to keep my mind on driving and if I can see numbers there I sometimes pay more attention to them than I should.
The thing that bothers me is that if you like to watch the data on your trip computer, you have to select it each time you turn on the key because it goes back to the "trip computer" screen automatically. It should stay where you last set it when you turned the key off.

I agree, Id rather have the trip computer be on when I start up without pushing a button.

Keep Right Except to Pass
Normally Trip A and outside temperature. I sometimes flip to the trip computer to view miles to zero, especially if I am travelling and am in an unfamiliar area and I start getting low on fuel.
Every time I fill up I record the Trip A miles, overall miles, and miles per gallon, plus the number of gallons of fuel (converted from litres via the Navi calculator if I'm in Canada) in a little book I keep in the driver's side map pocket. I like to observe how my mileage varies depending on the driving I do, and I also subscribe to the theory that if I suddenly find that my mileage is way out of whack it's a good time to go in for service.
About the only time I view Trip B is if I go on vacation and want to track the trip mileage there. I still use Trip A for each tank of gas and reset it each time.

I leave mine on the outside temp, but ......
Whatever retarted engineer decided on the menus for the MID was on crack.
1. The temp should be in the center console displayed all the time next to the clock.
2. There shouldn't be any titles to the info, just flip through the info.
3. Distance to empty should be separate with the gas gauge or at least on the same screen as the rest of the info.

Trip mileage and temp on my '05. Tire pressure not available.
I used to display the miles to empty on the trip computer, but you have to call it up everytime you restart the car.
