We were on the freeway and this guys has something that looks like this,


Immediately I tell myself, leave this guy alone. Besides, I still need my engine to break-in some more (even if it was fully broken-in I still would have left him alone...lol). There's hardly any cars on the freeway and this guys just hangs around me for about 5-8mins...lol. I was so tempted at least go down w/ a fight...lol. Eventually he realized I didn't want to play (or that I was scared which was quite true...lol) and went his merry way. I have a 3G TL BTW.

 

that's a S55 or S65 AMG benz....
S55 has 493hp and S65 has 604hp.... they will dust you pretty badly... don't waste your gas you'll get owned lol...

 

their big dogs, look for AMG badges, if u see em, dont bother...

the onlys AMGs u might have a chance with are the older C32 C43 anything else isnt worth your gas. unless u get a S/C then u can hang with the newer C32s, the older CLK55 and maybe the older SL55 and the older E55 not sure tho. oh yea dont bother with any benz that has a letter and the number 600 after it either those are V12s

 

Man I've seen E55 do 11's in the quarter at the track.

 

you can mess w/ the older generation CLKs. I even heard that the CLK AMGs are not even engine modified..just pretty much a appearance package.

You heard wrong. The CLK 55 is an AMG motor. What you are thinking about are the thousands of CLK 430's with AMG badges for appearance shit.

Yea the 430s was the one i'm talking about. Did they make the CLK 55's for the older generations? I know not to mess with those haha.

man i wanted an AMG so bad almost had a CLK55 but the guy sold it by the time i got the money together. I had a shot at a 02 C32 but that was a bit out of my price range. so sad they are amazing cars

 

I think at least back to 2001, maybe earlier.

 

In theory TL 6-speed should have a chance against pre-2003 S55. 2000-2002 S55 had naturally aspired 5.5 liter engine with 356 bhp only. It would run 0-60mph in 5.7 sec, so a well driven TL should be able to stay with it at speeds below 100 mph. If you encounter an S55 check the wheels first (should have single spokes) and headlights (non-clear) and double exhaust (like TL). If all three conditions are met give it a try. The car on the picture above is a 2003+. No chance here.
