Memory Seat light goes out

Anyone else notice that when you put the car in reverse the memory seat light goes out? I'm guessing becasue your mirror is tilting down? - odd that it is not smart enough to realize mirror is changing position because of Reverse. Soon as you put it back in park - light comes back on.

I believe this happens so that you cannot accidentally adjust the seat forward or backward while the car in reverse (or in motion in general). I'm not 100% sure, but with our TLs, it could be just one of those undocumented "features"

It happens because your settings have changed. If you move your seat while driving the same thing will happen. When the mirrors go back to normal from reverse it lights up again because it is at the same point of the memory setting...

That's what I figured - I am surprised it does not know that it is in reverse and the mirror is tilting for that reason and not because I am moving it via the button on the dash.
