Is Meguiars the best?

Hey guys, I am going to order my TL within this upcoming week through a credit union, after I visit the dealership friday and pick out my color. I wanted to know if Meguiars was the best out there for washing and waxing the car. If not, let me know what would be better as I am going to ask for some stuff for my birthday. Thanks.

NXT is awesome, its quick and cheap. it might not be the "best", people will have different opinions about what is the best. but it does provide a brilliant shine for at a very low cost.

I have tried both Zaino and the new NXT Wax from Meguiars....both gave excellent results but NXT is much cheaper.

NXT wash and polish is great, topping it off with say #16 or #26 really finishes the job. Also pick up some NXT booster was, for a quick wax in between jobs.

Claying the car first is a must and it is very simple and easy, you wash the car, leave it wet and spray detailing mist as you go over the finish with a bar of clay. After you are done re-wash the car and apply a polish. The clay removes all contaminents, such as drake and rail dust, which is usually on new cars.

Its funny how everyone who buys a new car all of a sudden wants to wash n wax there own vehicle. My brother in law who never gave a crap about the apperance of his prior vehicles went out and bought a whole bunch of stuff when he got his new pilot. He so far after almost a year washed it once never used the wax he bought and takes it to the brushless car wash everytime he wants it to look good. I warned him to watch where he parks...to date he has three dings on the driver side and was hit while parked and had the drivers side painted already. It took me a while to learn the right way to care for a cars finish if I only had the internet available to me like I do now it would have saved me alot of money. Drive safe people and stay out of harms way as much as possible.

I haven't tried NXT, but HAVE tried almost everything else. So far Zaino is the clear winner for me, with super easy application, great appearance and 6 month life. In several years, I've never seen a Zaino user go back to some other product.

It will be interesting to see how people feel about NXT over time. I am SURE that the wax makers are trying to catch up - but can they?

NXT is a polish and needs a topper wax. I use Meg's #16 which is very durable and super rain repellant. A lot of people also use P21s/S100 as toppers

Meguiars makes great products. Haven't tried the NXT yet but recently put on a coat of Gold Class along with the Gold Class wash. I can't believe how well it turned out. I've also used Zaino and Mothers products. It depends how much time and money you want to spend but any quality wax will do the job.

Been using Meguairs for many years - Gold Class has been the one for me - but the NXT is better - it is easier to wipe off and not as bad as far as white residue in spots where you don't want it.

Awhile back did someone describe the correct way to apply and remove wax? Circular motion or back and forth? We are talking Waxing the car here BoltJ!
