Yesterday on my way home from the gym I pulled up next to a new style STI. We both pulled off the light fairly strong but neither of us launched. we both just punched it at the same time at about 30 MPH. I was able to pull about a 1 1/2 on him by about 90MPH. he pulle up next to me at the next light and asked what the hell I had under my hood. He said" I have a TL at home and theres no way It would beat this thing" I think that if he launched the thing, it would have been a different story . I think all he had was an intake and a blow off valve.

Did you tell him what you had done to your car?

 

Yeah for the most part. It was a quick convo. I just stated bolt ons. which normally means intake headers exhaust.

 

you shoulda told him it's stock. well you can't hide tail pipes. tell him ron-jon did it. ha.

I got smoked by one at the track, the majority of the kill was the launch. He pulled in front of me like a jet then we kind of stayed the same the rest of the way.

didn't he just do one? depends on your mods.

 

Stock vs WRX and 2.5s?

 

WRX and 2.5 yes you have a chance but an STI will beat a stock TL From a roll.
