Me too me too!

Another new TL-S owner here. I'll try to get pics up this weekend some time.

I traded my 2006 BMW 330i Sparkling Graphite/Gray (6 speed manual/sport package) for a 2007 Acura TL Type S Silver with the Ebony/Silver interior trim.

The BMW was a great car, amazing handling, road feel, etc. But, I felt the need for a larger sedan, more comfortable for daily driving in stop and go.

I looked at the IS350, great car. Nice luxury features, solid build, but it's TINY! Backseat was way smaller than my 330i.

Looked at the new G35 sedan, nice engine, better balance/refinement than the previous generation, but again size wasn't that great, the CD changer in the trunk due to the navigation system was kind of a downer. Trunk also looked very small, opening wasn't large either.

Briefly considered an RL due to the tremendous rebates going on right now, but decided against it as it's cushier and has what I consider an older stigma associated with it (i'm only 23).

TL Type S looks sharp with the new refreshed design, quality of interior materials is above the 04-06 TL's. I for one like the look of the wheels, even though I know that most here do not. The Ebony/Silver interior scheme reminds me of my Ridgeline's seats. Again, I'll try to take some pics this weekend. Stereo sounds amazing, better than the Logic 7 from the 330i. Handling isn't as sharp, car isn't as tossable as the 330i, but I really don't expect it to be.

100 miles so far, and I'm loving it. Great car for what it is.

Love the fact that another bmw goes in favor of a fwd acura. For some it's hard to swallow. THEY DONT GET IT. The car really has everything going for it. Now Acura is just one move and two years away from never looking back. Congrats and good luck.

Wow. I'm amazed you made that trade. The Beemer is one heck of a car.

I am a BMW convert as well (2004 325i to a 2006 TL). I agree that the TL is not as tossable as the BMW but I like that you get so many features with the TL (as well as cabin space) without paying two gazillion dollars for all the options BMW wants.

Here are some quick pics I took before dropping the car off for clear bra/tint.

I promise I'll get a better set of pics up after I get the car back.

500 miles and counting! Love it.

I love that trunk lid spoiler. It would look great on my 06 TL ASM. My local Acura dealer hasn't received a Type S yet so I can see one up close.

Thanks for the pics. Beauty of a ride, enjoy it!

Thanks everyone, I just picked up the car, 20% tint all around, and full clear bra protection. I'll try to get some new pics up soon.

Love the car!

VDub, I was considering getting a used E46 M3, SMG, but yeah, I feel like I've done a lot of that with my previous S2000 and the 330i. I just want something comfortable that's also got some sport in it. The TL-S definitely delivers.

Glad you're like the car, How does it look with the 20% tint?? I am still debating on whether to get 15% or 5% tint.

I think the 20% is fine for me. Good amount of darkness during the daytime, still have silhouettes of what's inside. And it's not too dark that makes it dangerous at night. At least that's how I felt.

Wow good eyes simont, I never noticed that, but since you pointed that out, it also made me go outside and check mine.

I am curious as to whether its just the angle of the picture or if acura mis-aligned the bumper.

No its fender well trim. Rubber inserts to protect the fender, I think.

Winstrol is correct, they put fender well trim on the car. You can kinda see it on the back wheel arch in the 3rd picture.

Again, once I can get out of work (crazy hours lately). I'll get the pics with the tint on the car, and the clear bra.
