Maybe I'm not meant to have a lip spoiler?

I guess some people may remember my stint with delsa-motorsport: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=164406

The claim process didn't go so well, so I guess I lost like $80.

Here is the damage for those who are interested in it.

So I decided to order another lip spoiler. This time I did "extensive" research and tried to find a good vendor. I went with carparts-123 this time. The spoiler is much more expensive than the delsa one, so I really hope this one would be good.

So after a week of waiting, I finally received it. I had to pay $25 of duty fee too.

As I was about to open it, I thought to myself: "I shouldn't be this unlucky. This one better be good!"

Yea...RIGHT!

This damage is SEVERE! It makes the damage on the delsa spoiler seems like NOTHING!

So then I went and placed the spoiler on my car to see how it would look.

Check out the colour difference! It seems like the spoiler is painted with TSX's white (NH624P) instead of our TL's white (NH603P).

I'm highly disappointed! Maybe I'm not meant to have a lip spoiler?

Anyways, I notified carparts-123 about the damage and colour differences right away, and they seemed to handle my problems swiftly. I got an email from UPS with tracking number that the spoiler has been shipped. It is on the way to my house now.

Now I'm just praying the spoiler will arrive with NO DAMAGES and PERFECT PAINT MATCHES!

I will update again once I received the spoiler. As a side note, if the carparts-123 spoiler had no damages and colour differences, the spoiler is MUCH BETTER than the delsa one in terms of style. The delsa one is just too thin, and the carparts-123 one better resembles the TL-S lip spoiler.

Check out tim at hondaacuraworld.com. He gives superb service, and if anything goes wrong he will replace it for you. But that sucks about the spoiler, hope everything gets back on track!!

What he said, Tim at hondacuraworld gives the service you would expect. Get it from him. I've always said... you get what you pay for...

Yep...
You get what you pay for in "colormatching".

OEM lip or OEM TL-S is the ONLY way to go.

I would have to agree with this, factory acura accessories are the way to go! They might cost a little more but in the end you should be satisfied!
