this may sound crazy but 6MT to Auto??
heres the deal. im getting married soon. my girl has an 05 POS C420 mercedes. i want rid of it. i have a 85% restored 88 legend coupe, which i drive daily. still owe 19k on the TL, which i have a ton of money in including the supercharger. i refuse to get rid of the car. she sucks at driving stick and is scared..etc...i have tried to teach her...
would someone on here be willing to donate their auto and all the neccessary hardware for my 6MT....and labor???? just throwin it out there. i dont want to get rid of the car, but if it means i have to convert it to keep it, thats what i'll do. the car is mint and garaged all week, only driven at night and on week ends....lemme kno

Sometimes one can't teach a family member how to drive as the emotions sometimes flare up....pay for a driving instructor/ school and done deal....All my kids learned from me after one of them (the oldest) said to me...stop yelling at me...I opened my eyes and from then on he made me a better father...now all of them have standard transmission cars and laugh when we get together during the Holydays and reminisce...

i guess the real question is does she want to get rid of the POS 2005 Mercedes? i dont understand why something would be overthought like this. if the want the Mercedes gone then trade it for a TSX or something. no point in putting more money in the TL so soon, it wont pay off.

If she isn't going to drive the TL and you won't part it out and trade it, the only logical solution is as follows:
1) Return the TL to stock.
2) Trade with someone who has an AT.
3) Put your mods on the new-to-you TL.
Actually swapping the transmission and all of the associated parts will be a major PITA. Swapping your mods to another car will be much easier...just as ACCURATEin.
