Bought a new TL 5 weeks ago. Got my temporary NJ tag and registration (30 days). After not receiving permanent tags from dealer, I checked with them and got a story that they can't locate the Manufacturer's Certificate of Origin.

Does this happen often? I feel like I'm in limbo until they track this down. What's the best way to hande this? can I force the dealer to take this vehicle back and provide me with another one that does have the certificate?

Probably just a short term sanfu. The dealer will make it right, just chill.

 

Honda of America shoud be able to generate a new certificate and express it to the dealer. Call the Acura service hotline if you need reassurance.

 

Honda should be able to issue another one.
