Before you guys get too excited . . .

I'm 43 and a Systems Manager in Pittsburgh. I've always enjoyed driving a nice
sporty car, but over the past five years, the luxury part of the equation has
become more important.

Currently, I'm driving a 1995 Maxima with 148,000 miles. I really want a new car
but I'm just completing a renovation project on my home and want to pay down
the debt a bit.

Value is important to me in buying a car, since I take care of them and I'll keep them
for a while.

Previously, I've owned:


1980 VW Rabbit
1984 VW GTI
1988 Mazda RX7
1995 Nissan Maxima

I've driven the Manual and Automatic TLs. Quite frankly, I was a little disappointed
in the 6 speed. My husband has an RSX-S, and it is the most satisfying manual
transmission I've ever driven. I think for me, part of what makes the manual fun is
is the sound while shifting. The TL is too quiet to get the same burst of excitement.
So when I need that sporty, manual transmission experience, I'll drive the RSX-S.


I think I am planning to become a member of Team Anthracite with Ebony.
I really liked the way the Anthracite/Camel looks from the outside, but once
inside the car and I'm surrounded with the orange leather, I don't like the
color.

I've also tinkered with the idea of getting Blue or Red. I wish the Blue came
with Ebony interior, and I've not seen any pictures of Red with Ebony. (OK,
typical female here, obsessing about the color)

Yes TLover, I've seen all the threads.

I know for sure I like the ebony interior the best. I just can't get used to the 'plood'
look, and I think the blue lights just look gorgeous against the black. I'm thinking
about holding out until 2005 comes out, hoping they'll do the blue with ebony.

BTW, I'm not sure how the Acura 'plood' ages, but my mother has a 1997 Avalon,
and the 'plood' looks really bad.

 

ebony interior does not come with plod it comes with carbon fiber and goes real nice with the ebony

 

Yes Nicki I know ebony only comes with Carbon. That's one of the reasons I want
the ebony.

I still haven't seen a red TL with ebony. Does anybody have pics of
this combo ?

Hey Nicki, too bad I don't have my TL yet, or we could start a "Chick Team"
on this forum.

Concord Acura had a red TL with ebony, and I didn't care for it. Way too dark!
The parchment or camel interiors are much nicer looking, especially the parchment which offsets the woodgrain nicely and gives a more spacious feeling to the interior.

I guess it doesn't really matter what forum/online venue you're on... the guys always pounce on the girls... I'm sure some of you are kidding around - at least partly

And I'm still sticking by my 95% prediction... these polls always have an error of margin of at least +/- 5% And I know a lot of people haven't voted. There are over 500 votes in the color poll, but less than 300 in this one.

 

My original projection is still holding up.
