major problems with bluetooth

hey guys im here to try and get some advice on my bluetooth problems. ok i connected the phone all fine and the car recognizes it. however i cant dial any numbers because it wont recognize my voice and when someone calls me they dont hear me at all while i hear them fine. is there a volume buttom for the mic? im sooo lost. i was hoping this feature was going to be great but for some reasoning the stupid computer wont recognize anything i say and people cant hear me when they call. its definetly a problem with the mic. is anyone else experiencing this problem?

No problems here; I've asked people how it sounds and most say that it sounds better than through the phone.

I take it since you have the phone paired up that the system was able to recognize your voice to get the pairing code in the first place. Are you doing something different from when you set it up?

My understanding is that the microphone is up by the homelink buttons. Try directing your voice toward it and see if that helps. You can also have someone else try talking to it and see if it works better for them; if it works for someone else than I'd guess it's more likely the voice recognition software and not the mic.

In any case, if you can't get it to work for you I'd have it looked at.

I agree that maybe it should be looked at. I have had the wife, and 2 friends try out the voice recognition, and it worked perfectly for all 3 of them.

My wife states the car's mics sound better than both my wired, and Blue Tooth wireless headphone systems. She can hear me perfectly, and she comes through loud and clear in the front speakers.

Out of curiosity, which Bluetooth phone do you use and who is your service provider?
