Maintenance: When to change/replace . . . ?

I'm interested in getting feedback on when TL owners (model year 2004 and above) have changed/replaced the following (by mileage):

-Cabin air filter
-Engine air filter
-Brake pads (indicate if you do mostly city, highway, or mixed driving)
-Rotors (turned/replaced?)
-Tires (please refrain from bashing the Turanza EL42 )

General question -did you replace your filters with Acura/Honda parts? or have you used another brand?

Thanks

just follow what the MID says. but as for my experience:

-cabin air filter (around 25K miles)
-engine air filter ( might be during the cabin filter B2 service, see above)
-brake pads (none yet, 43K miles, 95% highway driving, last service which was last week says my front is at 45% and back at 65% so no need)
-rotors (will need them soon, maybe when pads need to be replaced)
-tires (changed them at 27K miles to yokohama - no choice, see below)

all services was done at an acura dealer except the tire replacement

now i didn't bash the EL42 but the picture did

see my sig if you have more questions of my car

I changed my cabin filter last spring.. about 9 months and 14,000 miles after purchase. It needed it. Use one year or maybe 12,000 miles as a guide.

I changed the engine air filter at the same time as the cabin filter. It was in good shape, so I would suggest a year for this one as well or 15,000 miles.

I still have my stock Brake pads and rotors (I have the 6MT), and currently have around 17,600 miles on the car.

I suspect my stock tires are good for maybe 30,000 miles.

Keep in mind all of this is VERY dependent upon where and how you drive. There is a lot of construction constantly going on in my area, so there are increased levels of dust. As for my driving, I'm pretty easy on my TL.. I don't push it hard into corners (well, I have a few times), nor do I launch hard to break traction (again, I have a few times).

I suspect my next set of tires will be Mchelin Pilot Sport A/S's and my replacement brake pads will probably be Hawks (did you know that Brembo does not make brake pads.. they make the rotors and calipers).

Cabin air filter - replace every 2 years

Engine air filter - replace every 15K miles

Brake Pads - whenever worn down to limit (wear indicators start sounding on the rotors).

Tires - When they are within a couple mm of the wear bars on the tread. I know alot folks in AcuraZine and TireRack bash the EL42's but mine have been fine, fair in snow, good in the rain, and quite good traction in the dry. Maybe the second generation are much better. I've seen a new 750i and 330i both come with EL42's. However will probably replace the EL42's with Avon M550 A/S's when replacement comes around.

I've tend to use Honda OEM filters for air, cabin, and oil.

Oh yeah.. forgot the oil filter.

I use the M1-104 Mobil 1 oil filter and Mobil 1 5W/20 oil. I also use the OEM factory Honda air filter. It's a good, well-made filter. But I've heard that you should stay away from the Honda oil filters because they are made by Fram.. not a good manufacturer.
