185k and tune up

I got my car in Sept with 179k miles
i should be in need of an oil change with in the next 1,000-1,500 miles now

I wanted to know what should I change/replace in my car since it has very high miles

the car drives real well, it has never failed on me

i now notice this, when i put it on "sequential shift" and rave it high or "step on it" from a stop, a burning smell comes from the motor witch worries me
(I love cars but i know very little when it comes to motors)

the only things ive done are
-new tires when i got the car
-filled up all the fluids
-changed the oil at 183,000ish

so if you can plz help me i would love it

BTW. i want to make this car my "Project car" but saddly i don't think my car is ready for aftermarket parts with the high miles and lack of tune "/

The smell might be burning oil. The valve seals on these motors arent great.

Just make sure the timing belt and water pump has been replaced (should have been at 105k). I'm not sure how much you drive but I would replace the coolant and brake fluid when you change your oil.

When you hit 210k, its time for another timing belt and water pump. I suggest you look on ebay for timing belt kits and have someone do it for pretty cheap since the car isnt worth very much and the service is from 400-1000 dollars.
