Maintenance Question.

I just hit 100k on my 07 TL-S. I changed my oil and brakes regularly and changed the air filter once. I havent changed anything else (spark plugs, transmission oil, etc).
Do I need to do any maintenance or am I ok for now?

there is a major service coming up.
at about 105k miles, a warning will pop up on your MID.

this is a timing belt and water pump service. it needs to be done.

I would replace the auto tranny fluid

Good time for plugs, engine air filter, cabin air filter and Power Steering and Brake Fluids too.

So speaking of timing belt being changed....is the engine in the 08 an "interference" engine or "non-interference" design?

Anyone know....

by "interference", I mean that if the belt breaks while it's running then whichever of the valves that happens to open stay open and then the corresponding piston on its up stroke will run into that valve, causing catastrophic damage....

Interference. Break the belt, bend some valves.

When do you replace the transmission itself?

I've heard of certain people I may or may not be related to putting over 200,000 miles on their cars without changing the tranny fluid
