Maintainance Minder not minding?

I knew my timing belt job would be coming up since I had hit 100k a few months back. I checked my odometer today to see that its at 105556 miles. I thought the timing belt minder comes up at 105k. The only minder ive ever seen in my car through its entire life is a1 for oil, which I reset myself. Have I been missing other minders as well?

its going to be around 105K mi. what is your oil life at right now? it'll probably be the next code. dont' stress. your car will tell you.

also, when was your last oil change and how long have you owned the car and what was the mileage?

I change my oil every 4-6k miles. Usually when the minder appears, I make it a priority. I probably did it around 1-2k miles ago. Im at 106k miles still nothing. Ill probably do the timing belt this winter regardless.

it'll probably pop up at your next interval. it's not unheard of for it to show at 107-108k which would be your next interval based on the info you provided. just depends on how the car is driven. there have been a few that went WAY past the interval without changing the TB. like over 150k- 170k. it's not like it'll blow up. up to you.

in my experience there's always a service code every time the oil needs to be changed. If you just did it 1-2k miles ago what was the service code then?

So you're saying you've never gotten a "B" code for Engine Oil Filter or a "2" code for Engine and Cabin air filters?

How long have you owned the car?

Edit:

I think if you are coming up on, say, a B12 interval (Oil, Oil Filter, Rotation, Engine & Cabin Air filters) and you change the oil early - before the code pops up - and then RESET the MID after just an oil change, you won't get that code.

....
If you have the required service
done but do not reset the display, or
reset the display without doing the
service,
the system will not show the
proper maintenance intervals. This
can lead to serious mechanical
problems because you will no longer
have an accurate record of when
maintenance is needed....

To think about it, I haven't gotten a code either and I'm at 113K.

I already changed my oil at 109k.

I'm doing my change at 120k.

That must be it. I feel like I rarely see B12 codes. When I get them, I typically read them, and its ussually just the oil. I change all the other filters per my scheduele. Air filter 15-20k. cabin 25k. Rotation when it looks right. Oil + Filter 4-6k. I did my spark plugs at 80k. I try to do my brake fluid every year or so, but sometimes it gets really pushed back. Never touched my transfluid (tranny was replaced when it grenaded at around 40k miles I believe. You can read my other thread). I planned on changing the coolant along with the timing belt.

Oh well. Ill guess ill just keep an eye out.

EDIT: Ive owned the car all its life, since February 19, 2004. Its coming up on its 8 year birthday

i've always followed the MID and did the services when the car showed less than 15% and popped the code. mine alternates from A to B every oil change with or without an additional number (1 or 2). mine did this twice a year.

so it must be what bearcat said...you weren't minding your MID. hmm, perhaps now we know what happens when we don't follow the MID accordingly and change our oil on mileage intervals instead. interesting.

I also follow the maintenance minder on my tsx-So far this year I have only had to do oil/filter changes and tire rotation/balances. According to my records I had it done 5 times in 2011. Last time I had it done was one month ago (10/29) My oil life is now at 50%. Would be lower but have been driving the sonata lately.
My mom owns a 08 accord. She no longer drives. It is now driven by me, my daughter, my brother, or her health caregiver. It still is not driven much-short distance travel. We do not follow the maintenance minder as it would take forever to get to 15%. Every Nov. I make sure to get the car serviced (usually only a oil/filter change and tire rotation/balance. The car, bought new 3/08 has about 22,000 miles.
