Lumen of the 3G TL's headlights

Hello guys,

Does anybody know what the lumen is of the 3G TL's headlights?
I want to upgrade my other car's headlights and want to be as close as possible to the TL's.

Thanks,
Al

I think what he meant was degrees kelvin (color temperature). in this case you are correct, OEM is anywhere between 4100 - 4300K.

Lumens on the other hand is different. there is no set standard for measuring lumens across the board, but a typical 10-watt HID lamp generated 500 lumens. its just much brighter than halogen because of the color intensity and temperature.

4300. Same as my old S2000. Seem's to be a common figure among OEM HID's

Thanks for your responses. It's the color temperature that I'm asking about.

4300K color temp. you will never achieve this from a halogen bulb, even if they claim it. you need to buy an HID kit to get the coloration and light output(lumens)

Standard OEM 4100K-4300K D2S lumen output is around 3200lm +/- 450lm I believe

the hid on out cars are nice, but bmw's and audi's are the best. they have that purple look instead white like ours. anyone have bmw or audi hid's on a TL rather than having stock ones?

I think you're right ding069 that I should get an HID kit.

Thanks for all your responses.

I have to disagree. The allumination of the street at night by the TL is better than the BMW hid's. I have a 530 with HID.
