Lowered TL'S - What's the right set-up?
I'm getting ready to lower my TL using Eibach Pro-Kit springs and Ingalls camber kit. Anybody else with this combo? How do you like it?

I thought the new TL's had camber kits or something where you could adjust camber up to 1.5 degrees +/-....Eibach is stiff...very stiff, so if you like stiff, then good.

Most posters here have been using Comptech springs. It only has about a 1 inch drop.
Two things to consider. 1) The underbody spoiler is already very low even on stock springs and a drop of over 1 inch might require a mod to that.
2) The stock shocks are considered by many to be too soft for the current springs. If the Eibachs are quite stiff, you could consider better shocks. Koni now has shocks for the TL.
Good luck - let us know how you made out.
PS If you don't have a 6MT condsider changing the sway bars - they are much stiffer on the 6MT versus the Auto)

I went with Comptech. I was one of the originals who lowered when Comptech came out.
Ordered the camber kit, but was told by the installing dealer they would send the camber kit back to Comptech, not needed after alignment.
The ride is firmer than stock, but got used to it quick.
Being its a lease, installing shocks is over my head to justify the extra cost.
Never once have I hit the aero kit spoiler in the front. A couple of times only the underneath air dam.
Handling is greatly improved.

hey danno, how long have you had the springs on? any signs of camber wear? i had comptech springs on my integra (1inch drop) and noticed camber wear after 6 months. i'm considering the comptech springs for my tl but do not want to worry about the same issue as i had with the integra

Rear: 8041 1329 Sport"
Don't have any other info or who is carrying them, but Tirerack might be a good start.

Like Danno, I have the comptechs. The drop is subtle in that I have not had to change my driving habits much, and the ride is still quite comfortable, but even though it is subtle, it made a huge visual difference. I went with Comptechs because the spring rating is so similar to stock and because comptech only makes parts for Honda/Acuras, so they are very specialized. Also, no need for camber kits.
I am running stock 17s right now, but will be updating to 19s pretty soon, and will be running a 245 tire. I do not expect any rubbing issues due to the drop

most people here are looking for a 1 inch drop from stock. I'm just wondering why not wait for the ASPEC suspension to be sold seperately? Doesn't the ASPEC stuff drop you 1 inch as well + has matching shocks (having matching rates is very desirable) for around 500-600? You can already buy the aspec stuff off of ebay, won't be long until a dealer will be able to sell ASPEC parts to non-aspec owners.

After checking out the ASPEC suspension, I think that is the best solution for most people. The drop is PERFECT on stock 17's or 18's and rides comfy along with the benifits of the handling. Check out the TSX forums, every single one of those guys that dropped more than 1'' had HUGE camber problems in the rear and a bit on the front. So not only do you have to get springs, you'll need camber kits, and shocks.
Just some things to think about before dropping your car...
