2nd pic looks very good. Do you have plan to make the black mess grill in the center or any colors?

Happy New Year.

However, I'd like to know how 3GTL would look like if we remove that logo and frame...

paint the mesh a dark gray (anthracite) or black, IMHO that would make it look more sleek.... and nice pic, that pinted "acura" up front just gave me some ideas to do with glow paints...

The Mesh Is A Matt Finish Not A Silver, The Way The Sun Hit It When I Took The Picture Makes It Look Much Brighter Than It Is. I May Paint It The Same Color As The Car Down The Road. We Are Still Playing With Other Ideas For The Grill Area As Well.

I want to make a center grill like the concept TL... Then match the lowers to the top...

Great job!!!

But..I think I think that the grilles that are down their give the opening a more rounded look than the mesh that is in there. The mesh looks a littel square.

Maybe if the mesh appeared more like it was "wrapped around" the existing grille, it may look a little better.

It may look a little better with the lights cleared too.

The mod looks nice, but in my opinion it looks unfinished. The color is that of chicken wire, and it needs something to draw your eye out from it. If that area were painted black, and you used the center black strip from the original grille I think it would look really professional.

I Have Thought About The Black Piece You Are Speaking About, We Are Going To Try That tomorrow Providing We Can Attach It To The Mesh And Make It A Solid Fit and still look good. This Is Just The Starting Point. Thank You For Your Feedback.

Thats what I was thinking as well. Dremel the oem plasticrap out, and replace with the mesh I think it would look really slick, even in silver!

Have a Happy New Year!!

i was thinking no cut, just place mesh behind.

the black oem over the silver mesh may just be a good look.

Grill looks good and I think your the first TL to do it. So did you have to take the whole bumper out to add the grill on?? I think we need more pics with different angle to justify the grill more. BUt it looks really cool. I wonder how it would look with the A-spec front chin spoiler??

i agree. it can be 200% better perhaps by playing around with painting the oem grill and the mesh using 2 colors. oem grill color to compliment the car color, then a contrasting color for the mesh. with the right colors that passenger side grill will be HOT !

Nice work. I've been thinking about what to do there as well. I'm glad someone made their first attempt available to everyone. Points given for sharing. I've always felt that Acura should have done something differently with this area of the car.

Edit- just as I posted I saw your new post. I like the change in color of the plastic grille to more of a anthracite color. I do like the plastic integrated with the mesh, I think it may look a little better without the vertical bars, i.e. only having the one horizontal bar. Thanks for sharing your work.

paint it black. silver mesh grills do not look good on any color car.
