Low speed steering noise

07 making crunching noises during low speed turning and braking. Since turning and rolling with someone inside and someone outside while trying to find this noise has proved to be difficult. I am hoping someone else has had this problem and fixed it. I have replaced both CV axles, the inner and outer tie rods, changed the brake pads, and the passenger lower control arm which had a blown bushing. None of this has had any affect on the noises. The upper control arm's look good and don't seem to be moving around and the noise seems to be coming from somewhere lower, but I haven't ruled them out. Has anyone had an annoying crunching noise that turned out to be something other than the usual suspects?

Does the noise disappear when you lift the car up?

Its likely that your lower ball joints are worn. A low speed creaking on braking/turning usually happens when the bearing inside the lower joint is dry and worn.

To test the theory, you can try to inject some bearing grease into the boot to see if the noise goes away temporarily...but that's not easy to do.

If you do need new ball joints, I strongly recommend buying them from a Honda/Acura dealer rather than aftermaket.

My experience with "crunching sounds" points to wheel bearings.
