Love my TL-S

Just had to brag a little, got done driving 200 miles, and averaged 31.8mpg! Now thats some good stuff right there!

Such a sweet car!

Would an intake be worth my time and $? I know there are other threads, just don't have a ton of time to look around. Mainly want MPG and not power!

Thanks!
Later Ya'll

I heard the J-pipe gives you a little more MPG I dont know about the intake I believe it gives like 1-2 more MPG but im not positive. 31.8 MPG is impressive though

Most of the time any added benefit given from a cold air or jpipe will be lost from the more aggressive driving style. Either way performance from a cold air intake would be little to none. maybe a few HP can be measured on a dyno but wouldnt be felt by your butt-meter...and if someone says otherwise its their mind playing games. I think most on this forum get cold air intakes for their sound.

i am a cruise control maniac lol. i drive 20 miles to and from work everyday all interstate, and 90% interstate drive all the time for work. just didn't know if the intake would help at all.

and would the j-pipe be any louder than stock? i need to keep it sounding stock if possible!

I could not find you a DIY but I did read somewhere that you want to put WD-40 on the bolts a day before taking them off, but as far as installation goes I believe its just a remove and replace, good luck.

Wow that's great. First pure hwy trip in my TL-S today about 100 miles and I averaged 29 mpg. Not bad for 4 people in the car cruising at 75-80 mph.
