Love my perforated leather...NOT!

It seemed like a really classy touch with some supposed usefulness. Until I dropped a dollop of cream cheese on the seat. I cleaned it up as best I could, but it's stuck in those tiny holes. I imagine a toothpick or something will do the trick, but time consuming. Arrrrggggg.

(Please don't flame me: I DO have a standing policy of no food or drink in the cabin of my cruiser, this was a rare exception. I love my car, sympathetic responses only please...)

You may try a household vacuum cleaner, using the "soft" brush that's usually used for cleaning curtains and draperies.

So, what you are looking for somebody to feel sorry for you? Sorry to be so blunt, but what kind of response are you looking for?

I would try to soften it with some cleaner product and then vacuum it. And don't eat in your car anymore! j/k

Must be kids. What can you do? I have two that won't obey cabin rules.

Have you tried warm cloth to soak up the sweet? Good luck.

oh man.

like others said -- VACUUM.

go to the car wash, use one of their super strength vacuums... and just let it suck away at your seats.

although, doing this immediately would have had much more effect than it will now

I somehow gravitate to cars that happen to have perforated leather. I've had it now for 14 years, never had a problem with it.

I was carrying a bag with some chicken in a white pesto for a party we were having catered and, when transferred out of the car by my sister-in-law, (Grrrrr), she spilled a bit out of the foil top. Cleaned the best I could, but I have to take a toothpick to get the leftovers out of the perfs...

Thanks for the feedback, support, and stories. Makes me feel better, even with the sprinkling of anti-solicited flames! The perf leather is a classy looking touch, IMO, just need to be more careful. Using an industrial vaccum is a good idea, I'm going to try that this weekend.
