Yeah, pretty sure it's a TL and very happy to hear those 2 made it out safely w/o a scratch. I didn't bother reading the article but I hope no one else was injured badly. That looked like a nasty fireball.

 

YIKES! Notice that neither front airbag deployed.

 

Don't think the front airbags will deploy unless the sensor senses a definite front-end collision/impact. From the looks of things, the TL may have been swiped and spun into the center divider. The rear bumper is sitting like 20-30ft away.

 

If that's a TL, it's not a 3G.
