When does everyone expect their key blanks?

 

Mine shipped last week. I'm over in Lorton and am very interested in getting this done through you rather than any of the dealers here. I figure there's less risk since you know what needs to be done.

 

I already have both of mine!!!

 

Trying to get an idea of when I should schedule this. So if you could state beside your name on the list if you have or when you are expecting your keys that will make life a lot easier to figure out a date.

Thrillington, not to derail this thread, but what was your turnaround on your key?
Did you order direct, or send him a key? How long form Delivery of your key until it was returned?

My key was delivered lasy Thursday.
I've sent Busa few email asking him an estimate of the time with no response. I know he's busy cutting, so I don't want to bother him too much.
I just wanna know if it's gonna be a week or a month.

 

FWIW, my turnaround time from the day i FedEx'd the keys to the day I received them back was about 17 total days... they were mailed about a week before Christmas and received the day after New Year's...

Hopefully yours comes soon, I want mine cut!!

JDM5lughatch (and other that haven't reported key status), whaddaya say we book this event for Feb 3rd? If you haven't got a key in hand, or on the way to Pete by now, they're on backorder again until Feb. now... We gotta draw a line somewhere otherwise we'll be pushing into March.

I can't do Feb. 3rd because my cousins B-day is on the 2nd and my fiance's is on the 4th so we are doing a combined party on the 3rd. How about the following weekend (Feb. 10th)?

 

I'm the only guy in the local are that doesn't have keys in hand, so I'm down with that. I'm sure the other folks would like it sooner... but this will give a few extra weeks for the stragglers to catch on. Where's jmbnova? JJaber06?

I had ordered a key from Acura and was told it was on backorder. About 2 minutes after Pete posted his "I'm ready to go!" thread I ordered the key directly from him so that I didn't have to wait on Acura. My key from Pete just got here yesterday.

As an aside, I did pick-up the key I ordered from Acura over at Karen Radley. As soon as I get the mod cut and working I'll offer up the TL blank for anyone that needs one. Just want to make sure that my modded one doesn't get screwed up in the cutting process first.

Feb 10th seems like ample time. If not, I will just have to miss out on this.

BTW, does anybody know if you can put a stronger spring in these keys for some kick?

IFLBusa is milling (2) Driver 1 keys for me this week. I only intended to have 1 cut now, and the keep 1 milled but uncut Driver1 as a spare. That way, if I ever sell the TL, I can sell the milled uncut key on the forum rather than provide the new owner with 4 keys.

I have no need for Driver2... I'm the only driver.

If Busa says they're backordered/too late (which I think they are backordered until mid Feb now), I'd gladly sell you my spare driver1 at cost ($95 =key + milling + shipping). I'd just bring it to the meet and you could pay me there.

I'll just order another from Busa when the backorder is lifted.

 

I sent FLBusa a PM but have not heard back from him. I'm ready to pay him today if he has a key available. If not, I will def. take you up on your offer. The more research I do on this the more I like it.

The only 2 stragglers are me and TypeAcuraTL, both of which should have our keys by the end of January. February 10th sound great. All other Johnny come lately's will have to see you directly at a later date.
