Looking for Light Blue Toned White 9LEDs - help please!

Has anyone noticed that white 9LED bulbs seem to vary in their tone? I've noticed that some have a light blue tint, some have a dominant white tone, and others more dominantly have a purpleish tone. The purpleish tone seems to be the case for the white 9LEDs that are from Tec-Toyz and Superbrightleds.com.

I'm looking for the light blue toned white 9LEDs. I was looking at the ones on www.autolumination.com and the picture on the site about the white ones they carry seem to have that light blue tone. Can anyone confirm this especially if you've bought them from autolumination.com?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Yup. Rumor has it they both get um from the same place.

I was thinking of just figuring out how to fit the 12 LED units into all of the places. Would require some creating cutting, bend, proding tho..

I see. I'm wondering if anyone on this forum has ever purchased from autolumination.com.

I have the 12LEDs from Brian at Tec-Toys and they have a purplish tone to them. It looks really great with my anthracite/ebony but I would prefer the bluish tone just like you. I would say deal with Brian because his service is top notch. He knows my issue and I'm looking to swap out for the bluish tint LEDs. (side note: 12LEDs will fit everywhere no problem except 1 place. 12LEDs DON'T fit in the license plate even though it was posted somewhere that it does. Brian has a new super bright type of LED that will fit.) He cares if you're happy and will rectify any problem. Best of all you can't beat his burn-out warranty.

I have dealt with autolumintation, they have a vast selection and their prices aren't too bad. If you're looking for any kind of aftersales support forget it. They have a pretty defensive/slightly rude attitude. I don't think you will get a straight answer of blue tint vs. purple tint. Deal with Tec-Toys and ask specifically what you're looking for, you'll get it. I'm sure there are 100 people on this board that'll back me up.

I wish I could deal with Brian but he's been ignoring my e-mails forever. There's been no response from him so I decided to try out the white 12LEDs from superbrightleds.com. Deke said that these were like a pure white color and he said that there's also a slight tint of blue. Hopefully these will be right!
