Looking to buy a 3g TL

Hey Guys,

I am a current owner of a 03 CL. The car has been good to me but I have been wanting a TL for a while now. I have test drove a couple 05's and they felt great. Is there anything I need to look out for or be aware of? If mileage and condition is similar is there any advantage between the 04-08 models other than newness? Thanks.

04s seem to be having a cracking dashboard issue ... so i would say stay away from that model year

I would also recommend trying to break into the 07-08 model year. You get a few little perks for the mid model refresh.

Also like othershave said if money permits for sure get an 07/08 as they have many additions and changes. It all around has a more updated look inside and out. For some reason also the 07/08 models seems to be more rattle free.

Lots of differences. Headlights, front and rear bumpers, taillights, wheels, keyfob, navigations revisions with MP3 capability and aux input, seats, MUCH improved instrument cluster, and lastly revised interior trimming. I'm sure there is more but this is what I know off the top of my head.

Thanks guys. I am definitely looking at 07 if the price is right but is nav really worth it? I found an incredible deal on a 07 TL-S but I am sure it will be gone soon and I need to sell the CL first.

Year Differences

This thread:

https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...ar+differences

has EVERYTHING YOU COULD WANT TO KNOW!, as Ed McMahon used to say, about changes in the 3G from year to year. By 06 they had the bugs worked out, and the 07 and 08 have more toys.

Sounds a little out of my price range. Plus I would rather an auto. I do alot of stop and go in traffic. Post some pics.

You big shots with your fancy Type-S cars think you are soooo cool! (I'm trying to conceal my jealousy with anger, I hope it works because I am still quite jealous since the S was out of my price range)

check the Off Topic link- top right of page here
then Black Market- Member Cars For Sale has its own section, and you can post a wanted ad if your ideal car isnt listed yet

Spending more than you expected is part of owning a TL of any year~

They hold value so the finance is easy, and getting a well loved and cared for car will pay you back in the long run.
IMO a ziner owned car is going to be a better car than one on the lot

Hey Guys,

I found an 07 Type-S. It's got some miles on it (46K) but is in immaculent condition. I can get it for 24k out the door. What do you guys think?

Make no mistake about it, that screen is the heart of the interior.

As I've said here numerous times, the best part of getting the Navi is that you'll never be one of the 10's of 1000's who didn't that wound up looking back afterwards banging their heads into the wall wishing they had.

Why do you think the majority of used 3G TL's for sale out there are non-Navs?

Good luck......
