looking for 07-08 headlights
looking for 07-08 headlights
Can somebody tell me a good place to buy a set of new OEM 07-08 headlights. I also read that 07 type s has 1157 turn bulb but the base 07 headlight still has 7443 is this true. I'm doing a headlight conversion on my 06 TL. Is there anything else I need to do this conversion. Any thoughts would be great.

You can find OEM headlights from eBay, our vendors, and at your dealership of course.
If I'm not mistaken, you will need the 07-08 ballast also.
Hopefully AckTL05, JNC, or bforbrian can chime in since they're our headlight gurus.

Type-S conversion on 06 TL
Actually I did the Type-S headlight conversion on my 06. The ballasts are the same.
However if you do the Type-S headlights, you will need the following:
* 9005 bulbs for DRL housing; the 06 uses 9006 which is slightly bigger (try not to use full power because the housing is reported to melt...I used LEDS)
* 1157 bulbs
* 1157 sockets
* 1157 socket pigtails
Everthing else lines up just right!
Original Headlights:

Type-S conversion:

Type-S lights on:

Closer look at LED inside DRL housing (fogs from 04-06)

Good luck.
EDIT: I just noticed you're in Canada, so if you have a canadian TL, you already have the DRL function. No need to change the DRL bulb.

If I were you I would get a base 07-08 because if you plan on blackening them out, they look exactly like the type-s except for the clear diffuser and the turn signal bulb. For some reason the type-s has a 1157 hole which is bigger and you will need new pigtails and the switchbacks come only in 60SMD, which are a problem since they are so big. To keep things simple, if you want to mod your headlights then get the base because you will save money and not have to deal with changing your turn signal pigtails.
There is a way to make them DRLs, but I didn't feel like hassling with that. Roger555, I believe, has a DIY on how to convert the oem 04-06 foglights to DRLs. I mainly have them for aesthetic purposes.

Actually, mine aren't setup as DRLs. I left them the way they were, which was to turn on with the oem foglight switch.

Unless you want me to totally hack your bumper.
But seriously, this was a pain-in-the-ass mod. One in which I don't feel the need to revisit. It took me about 2 weeks to get everything done. I was so frustrated.
The hard part is dremeling bumper so the fogs could fit nice and snug. That alone took up most of the time. The wiring wasn't so bad, but it was challenging. I ordered the accord foglight harness, switch, switch harnes, and oem accord relay. The only thing I used were the ebay fogs because the wiring that came with it was confusing me.
If anything, I can give you a few pointers.

I bought numbers 5, 6, 7, and 8.
Hope this helps.
Well, what I did was I ditched the ebay harness and ordered the honda switch, harness, and relay. The ebay harness will not fit the accord switch because the wires are configured differently. Plus I wanted the OEM look, not the 1 bright orange in a sea of blue and green lights on my dash.

Well, don't forget - the Accord harness has a shiiiiiitload of non-essential terminals. The Accord harness is, well, and Accord harness; it's designed to plug in to a slew of OE Accord points. IIRC, I only used 3, maybe 4 wires on the ENTIRE thing.

I didn't know better and bought the entire harness with all the relays...
After wiring the thing up... And just like DM said, we only used a few of the wires and one of the relays!
Now I'm stuck with an Accord fog relay that I can't get rid of cause no one wants to buy it lol
