Any one know of a Locksmith in Toronto Canada who is able to cut and program the SwitchBlade key to an 04-06 TL?

Or is the best bet to go to a dealership?

go to good private locksmith to get it cut, should cost 5-10 bucks. Then go to dealer for programming. I had mine cut at a locksmith in windsor while i was in school and it fits in the ignition like a hot knife threw butter, much better than risking the chuckle heads at the dealer Fing up your key.

 

I though they have to cut and program the immobilser and the memory functions?
Is the locksmith able to do this?

Did you have to take it to the dealer to get the immobilizer and the memory seat functions programed?

 

I highly advise you do a search for 'switchblade' and research this thoroughly.

 

i had the key cut at a locksmith, all programming was done at the dealer following haveing the key cut. The deal can programme the key after its been cut.

 

you mind giving me directions/address to your locksmith in windsor or phone number so i can get it done there too, i guess its worth driving all da way down there if hes good, and which dealership programmed it for you and how much did cost to program?

 

you can't be serious, your gonna drive 3+ hours to get a key cut? just flip open the yellow pages and find one in T.O thats been around for awhile. Don't call them and ask questions, just walk in and give it to them straight then.
