Lock Beep. Unlock Beep?

I've noticed on the 07 model TL if you push the lock button on the key fob twice you get the little beep. Is there a way to program the beep to sound on the initial lock? Can it be programed to beep on the unlock? Anybody know anything about this? Thanks.

I believe if you hit lock twice within a 2 sec window you will get the peep.

You get no tone for unlock and im assuming that if you went thru the trouble to make it beep for unlocking itwouldt be worth it.

yes ronjon you are correct. But a buddy showed me this and it's just like the lexus. I figured since the beep we get on our car is similar, I wondered if there were a way to maybe program the module. And I figured this is the place to ask.!

the beep sound is the bullshit alarm from factory. when you press the lock button once all you're doing is just locking the doors, hitting it twice actually arms the car. I don't think there is a way to re-program it to arm and lock on the first button press.

The KP-Tech link you posted shows they only have a unit the changes the use of the horns to a electronic beep which we have already. My '04 Accord uses the stock horns when I lock it.

Yes you are right. It locks after first press, but arms after second. But even if you only press the buttons once, the alarm will arm by itself automatically after 15 seconds.

doesnt the RL double beep at unlock? maybe you can see if you can use that system, though the fobs are completely different.

RL=just fob, keyless start
TL=key+fob

The 09 RL SH-AWD tech package loaner I had did not have keyless start that's for sure. What year RL's has keyless start if the brand new one I had didn't?

Or to whatever you set it at. I think the times are 10sec, 15 sec and 30 sec. Same for the lights too if you leave them on and walk away from the car after locking it up.

218 press the lock button twice and you'll see what I'm talking about. I bet it's just a dipswitch or a jumper peg to set the disarm doubble beep. I appreciate the help guys!. Although I dont give 2 shits how soon the alarm sets lol I just like the beep!!

Does the beep only work with factory key fob. I recently got a remote starter and it wont make that beep noise when i press lock twice anymore.
